There are many advantages to travellers considering taking out caravan insurance. While legally, you are not required to have caravan insurance, it is sensible to get this type of insurance because it can prevent you from suffering financial loss.
If you take out a loan for your caravan or motorhome, you will want to try to protect yourself by getting good caravan insurance. The best option for people who are travelling to Europe, is to get cover that will provide protection for the following situations, or potential issues.
Theft
When you travel, statistically you are much more likely to be a victim of crime. Taking out comprehensive insurance will generally cover you for theft. Of course, the onus is always on you to make sure that you properly secure your van. Some insurance companies will prefer that you use a wheel clamp, when parking your caravan. Liability
